Greetings from a meditation camp in Sweden!
Okay, this one's a game-changer.
Okay, this one's a game-changer.
Finally – fucking finally – I went to that (in)famous Dutch capital. And even for European standards, it's an exemplary combination of modernistic wealth, old-school architecture, a diverse array of cultural offerings, and, not the least of all, just plain sinful partying.
So I went to spend 4 weeks in Cyprus. Nice place; pretty nature; sunny weather even in March. However, the essence of the experience didn't have more to do with surroundings, sea view or swimming pool rather than the fact that it was a co-working trip.
Three weeks down, one to go. Here, you can get a bit of a hint as to why I'm kinda waiting this one out rather than downright enjoying myself:
So, this is a brief glimpse into the country where I've lived for the second-longest time.
I'll say it up front: Budapest is a hella fucking wicked city. Here are just some of the reasons why:
So I've been in the Albanian capital for the last three weeks. And while it hasn't been as overwhelming and action-jammed as I expected, the place definitely does have its charm, and its obvious upsides.
So I'm out in the middle of jack-all. To cut down on excessive stimulation, get my head straight, and focus on piled-up tasks and reading rather than going out and exploring and getting hammered all the time.
This one's a surprise, and definitely a good one.
I've already said a few words about Bucharest, but as always, here's a proper post.
So I was in Croatia, which was cool. There will, of course, be a longer article about it whenever I'm not too busy getting wasted in new countries (i.e., probably October or something...) But I might as well say up front that it's well worth a visit.
Elaboration: Like I'm talking about in the video, I was actually only going to Bucharest for business purposes that didn't take a lot of hours in total. But I figured I might as well make a trip of it. And so, these last 6 days ended up being the perfect bootcamp before Copenhell, which I'll be covering from tomorrow....
Like Petra, Jerash is another ancient city in Jordan that's popular with tourists. Though Jerash came much later than Petra, and by the looks of it, I suppose it's mostly Roman. Could have read all the signs along the way; didn't bother.
Up until about a month before going there, I had no idea that there was an island in the Canaries called Fuerteventura. I knew about Lanzarote, Tenerife, and of course Gran Canaria because that's where my fellow Danes tend to go vacationing. So I've stayed clear of those so far.
If you hang around people who travel a lot, you'll sometimes come across the topic of when a visit to another country actually counts. And the two primary factors in this equation, as I see it, are the following:
1) How long time you spend in a country, and
2) The country's official status as a country....
