Greetings from Petra!

So I was in that place from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade...

Overall, I'm glad to have seen it. It's hella impressive; you're walking amongst some of the world's most famous architechtural and cultural history, and it takes hours to see it all.

However, the way they've turned it into one big souvenir shop is not only disgraceful, it's also hella annoying to get pitched the same pieces of jewelry and donkey rides every 20 seconds. No shit, I must have gotten approached by sellers 60 to 70 times during that day.

Some are even trying to sell you fucking rocks – which you can not only grab for free at any time, but you shouldn't, because with hundreds of tourists every day, that's actually eroding the place. From what I've read, the airport personnel also checks your bag extra carefully for things like that when you leave anyway.

So, not going back there. But glad to be able to cross it off the list.
