Greetings from a meditation camp in Sweden!
Okay, this one's a game-changer.
So I went to this 10-day Vipassana retreat out in the middle of jack-all in Sweden. If you don't know what Vipassana is, it's a meditation technique, originally designed by that Buddha dude back in the day, that makes you aware of your entire body and your mind's subconscious reaction patterns, and eventually enables you to dissolve all the pains and miseries in your sorry-ass life.
It's one of the most extraordinary experiences I've ever had – both in terms of the effort it takes and the pain you have to undergo, but also in terms of the results you get.
As I'm saying in the video, the result of those 10 days felt like a couple of years' worth of psychology work. On the last day, one helper at the camp said I looked like mentally I'd lost +20 pounds. And that's exactly how I felt.
So, my deepest and most sincere recommendations if you wanna try a Vipassana course. They're held all over the world and they're entirely donation-based. Nobody's gonna even mention it if you don't donate anything. And they don't even accept donations from people who don't finish the course.
So nobody's trying to sell you anything, and you're not joining a cult. Any beliefs are unimportant; the main focus here is hands-on work. And it's hard, but it pays off in ways you can't imagine.
